During an unseasonably warm weekend in early January, Philly Roller Girls held their 6th Annual Snow Brawl--a yearly celebration of the league's accomplishments during the past season. But the real story was warming up on the mic: As part of the evening's festivities, PRG's recent draftees were publicly paired with the teams who selected them.

Philthy Britches: Search & DePoy, SPQR, Kiki Nass, Savidge Booty

Heavy Metal Hookers: Helen of Gore, Miss Fortune, Miranda Slambert

Broad Street Butchers: Sue E. Side Hotline, Dooms Dana, Alison Scutti, Butterscotch Cripple, Geez Ruiz

As skaters Olivia Face and Antidote announced the picks, each new team member was greeted with a team sash, a hug and chants of support from the sizable crowd. Thanks to all who made this year's draft a tremendous success, and congrats to our 2012 picks!

Also announced during the Snow Brawl, Philly Roller Girls welcomed its new Head Referee for the 2012 season, Professor Murder. Congrats to Murder, and thanks to ourgoing Head Ref Statsi, for his continued service to the league.
