Recap of the Burger Brawl

written by The Cycrone!

Held at the Fleisher Art Memorial on Sunday, May 6, the Philadelphia Burger Brawl had 20 Philly chefs duking it out burger-by-burger to determine the Best Burger in Philly! Philly Roller Girls were on hand to help staff the event, from setup to teardown, and great fun was had by over 500 attendees! Capital Grille was chosen #1 by the celebrity judges, and Bobby Flay's Burger Palace was the People's Choice.

The real winner was Meredith Elementary School's new computer lab, which will receive over $45,000 in proceeds from the event. As a nonprofit, amateur athletic organization committed to developing and training women to compete in roller derby at the international level, it is a priority of the Philly Roller Girls' mission to participate and support community activities like this one.
