Saturday, 9/13:

 To cap the 2008 season at The Sportsplex, PRG hosted one last double-header.  First order of business was a win by the still-undefeated Independence Dolls, who took on the Garden State Rollergirls and won 179-66.

 Then it was the Liberty Belles' turn: they dismantled the Rat City Rollergirls' Derby Liberation Front with a 154-32 victory that put them back on the winning track in perfect time to iron out the last details of their strategy in the WFTDA Eastern Tournament.

Philly split a pair of bouts with the Carolina Rollergirls on 8/9/08: the Independence Dolls got the event started on a high note with their second victory in as many bouts (93-53 over the Carolina Bootleggers) but the Liberty Belles weren't able to keep up with the CRG All-Stars and ended the afternoon with a 86-107 loss.

Butchers serve up Hissy Fits with a side of Grand Slams PDF Print E-mail

The Broad Street Butchers, with a few guests on their roster, took to the road yesterday evening, travelling to Macungie, PA to face off against the Lehigh Valley Roller Girls' all-star Hissy Fits.  The result?  Complete domination, with the Butchers taking a 152-20 victory.  LVRG was kept off of the scoreboard for the first eleven jams, as the Butchers cruised to a 62-0 lead.  The bout was a first for the Butchers' newest addition, Lucy Cannon (#10), as well as for the Britches' recent draftee Lucy Screws (#DSM-IV).  Also on loan were Heavy Flo and Euro Thrash, representing the Hookers, and Olivia Face of the Britches.
