As any past ECE attendee knows, in can be difficult to get from place to place in the Feasterville area. In order to facilitate transportation to & from the Sportsplex and the ECE's hotels, a number of buses - not vans or shuttles, but actual big yellow buses this year - have been hired to make loops throughout each day, Saturday and Sunday, from 9AM until just after the conclusion of the final bout.
In order to ride the bus, you must have a Bus Pass. Purchase your Pass in advance in the ECE section of phillyrollergirls.ticketleap.com to be sure that you get one (some may also be sold at the ECE Box Office).
There are two forms of Pass. The Local gives you as many rides back and forth between your hotel (as long as it is one of the ECE hotels) and the Sportsplex as you need throughout the weekend, including Friday night. The Local Pass costs $15.
But wait! If you are interested in afterparties on Sunday night, or if you just want easy transportation in & out of Center City Philly at the end of the event, you'll definitely want to consider the Afterparty Upgrade. For an additional $10 you'll be bussed to Philly's Northern Liberties area for our party at North Bowl. You can also explore the area: there's great night life to be found at The 700 Club - sponsors of the Philly Roller Girls - as well as the Abbaye, North Third, Ortleib's Jazzhaus, Cantina Dos Segundos, the Standard Tap, and some off-the-beaten-trail spots such as Johnny Brenda's, Bar Ferdinand, El Camino Real, Sugar Mom's, Skinner's Dry Goods Tavern, and The Khyber. All that for just $10 more!
The downtown Afterparty Buses will depart from the official hotels at 10:00 and 11:00, and will make return trips at 1:00 and 2:00. Should you accidentally be left behind, you will be able to find a taxi fairly easily; however, the taxi ride is certain to cost you upwards of $30 one-way! The bus is a great value.
Anyone who orders a Bus Pass online may pick it up at the ECE Box Office.
